Swinerton to build 250 MW-AC solar PV plant on Native American land

K Road Power (New York, New York, US) has awarded a contract to Swinerton Renewable Energy (San Francisco, California, US) to build a 250 MW-AC solar photovoltaic (PV) plant on Native American land in the US state of Nevada.

 K Road awarded contracts to Swinerton both for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services and operations and maintenance (O&M) for the K Road Moapa Solar Project. Swinerton states that it will begin engineering design and access roads for the project immediately.

 "We are honored to partner with K Road Power on this ground-breaking project," said Swinerton Renewable Energy VP and Division Manager George Hershman. "We have immense respect for K Road Power and a long history of partnering with Tribal Reservations on construction projects."
