Swinerton Renewable Energy to build 5 MW PV park in Hawaii

Construction has begun on the 5 megawatt (MW) utility-scale Kalaeloa Renewable Energy Park in Hawaii, Swinerton Renewable Energy (San Diego, California, U.S.) reports.

The solar park on 20 acres of leased U.S. Navy land near Ewa Field will comprise 21,000 solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and generate enough energy to power 1,000 homes.
