AMG National Trust is building new HQ in Greenwood Village
AMG National Trust Bank, a privately held commercial bank and investment management firm, is building new national headquarters near Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in Greenwood Village.
The company, now based at I-25 and Belleview Avenue, said Wednesday that construction on the three-story, 45,000-square-foot building — to be fashioned after the The Palace of the Rhine in France — is expected to begin in March 2014.
AMG is purchasing the property at the northwest corner of East Caley Avenue and Greenwood Plaza Boulevard from BRCP Greenwood Corporate Plaza LLC.
No terms were disclosed.
Designed by architect Ware Malcomb, the headquarters building will feature a dome and old-world European theme, which is meant to complement the development in the Greenwood Village Town Center District near Fiddler’s Green.
Prime West Cos. is the developer on the project, and Swinerton Builders is the general contractor.
“We are excited to take this next step in the company’s 40-year history,” said Sheryl Bollinger, AMG’s president and CEO. “Our new building will embody the strength and permanence of our conviction to our clients’ success. We are excited to bring our 80 employees into such a remarkable new facility in Greenwood Village.”
AMG provides investment management, commercial banking, financial counseling, trustee services, tax planning and return preparation, access to alternative investments, a donor-advised charitable foundation, and related services. It manages more than $3.5 billion in assets for clients both nationally and internationally.
AMG’s commercial banking division has more than $177 million in deposits and $80 in loans. Its main banking office is in Boulder, and it has wealth management and trust offices in Chicago, Cheyenne, Wyo., Morristown, N.J., and Virginia Beach, Va.
