Largest solar facility in Midwest is complete
The Solar Energy Industries Association in Washington's annual list of the top American businesses going solar puts retailer Target at the top of this year's list.
"In 2016 solar is expected to add more electricity-generating capacity than any other energy source in the United States, and the solar industry is employing workers at a rate almost 12 times faster than the overall economy".
Target is now the USA company that produces the most solar power at its facilities, beating out Walmart for the first time, according to a new report looking at corporate solar power usage in the United States. "Investing in solar is a common-sense decision that pays dividends for both the environment and companies' bottom lines and these leaders deserve a big round of applause", Kimbis added.

Not only does the solar industry provide economic opportunity, but it also offers relief from the disproportionate pollution and climate impacts from fossil fuels borne by low-income communities.
