Swinerton’s Block 300 Project Achieves LEED Gold Certification

It's LEED time for two Portland buildings that have received makeovers that reduce waste.

Block 300 — formerly Robert Duncan Plaza — earned the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Gold certification following a $2.5 million makeover designed to transform the 1990s era building into a modern destination for creative office tenants.

The ownership group, led by Chicago-based Kaufman Jacobs, sought to rebrand the 11-story office building after the mass exodus of federal agencies, who vacated nearly half the 360,000 square foot building.
