10 Major Swinerton Events in Colorado in 2015Contributor: Swinerton Blogger | December 31, 2015 | Image Gallery »
1. Zero Lost Time Incidents
We completed our fourth year in row with zero lost time safety incidents!
2. Project Starts
The twin tower Country Club Towers II apartment development kicked off in a big way, and we started construction on the design-build DIA Mod 4 East parking structure and the new dual-branded LMAC hotel at 15th and California. All three of these projects are cast-in-place concrete structures, so that’s a lot of concrete being poured—approximately 69,500 cubic yards!
3. Project Completions
Swinerton finished two build-to-suit office buildings for Colorado companies—Terumo and AMG National Trust Bank—along with a dual-branded hotel in downtown Denver. Catch Swinerton Vice President Scott Conrad’s thoughts on the hospitality market from a Denver Business Journal panel!
5. Tower Cranes
Thanks to the booming economy, tower cranes became Colorado’s unofficial state bird (aka tower cranes) and here is our Monroe Street Apartments ”bird” finishing flight.
Much of the work Swinerton completed across Colorado was not visible to the passer-by on the street, but our “Inside Story” was recognized by ENR Mountain States when they recognized us as the top interior and tenant improvement contractor!
Great work is accomplished by great people; ours are the best. We added 10 professionals to our staff ranging from seasoned project managers to recent college graduates, and celebrated the commitment of several long-time employees.
8. People Having Fun.
Swinerton again worked hard to serve as our client’s trusted partner. We played hard too, from summer intern outings to fundraising events benefitting The Swinerton Foundation…and much more!
From projects to people, we received peer and industry recognition for our hard work:
Rocky Mountain Real Estate Challenge
DBIA Distinguished Practitioner
ENR Award of Merit
10. Positive Outlook for 2016.
2015 has been an amazing year for Swinerton with new projects, completions, new hires and proven people and techniques delivering our projects safely, with high quality and as scheduled. We look forward to continuing to serve as a trusted partner to our clients and the design community, and build on the success generated in 2015!
