Expertise Delivering Hospitality ProjectsContributor: Swinerton Blogger | February 05, 2014
Having successfully built one of the most exquisite hotels in Denver—the Four Seasons—we fully understand the requirements to ensure design goals, quality construction, and FF&E coordination for on-time delivery. In 2014, Swinerton continues to deliver high-rise hotel structures that change Denver’s skyline.
Currently, Swinerton and joint venture partner Shiel Sexton are underway on a new 21-story Hyatt hotel in Denver’s Theater District at 14th and Glenarm Place, near the Colorado Convention Center. Our client is White Lodging, one of the hospitality industry’s leading ownership, development, and management companies.
The dual-branded hotel will feature both Hyatt Place, a select-service hotel, and Hyatt House, an extended-stay product. Each hotel will have its own entrance, lobby, restaurant, and lounge area, though hotel guests will share conference rooms, a swimming pool and work-out area, and four levels of parking. PFVS Architects has created the design.
According to the Downtown Denver Partnership’s 2013 “State of Downtown Denver” report, both hotel occupancy levels and average room rates have risen 73.4% and to $153.50, respectively. Swinerton is proud to be part of a hotel boom in Denver, which includes new construction and renovation from Denver Union Station to the Central Business District.
