Michelle Sandoval, marketing manager for Swinerton Builders and diverse business advocate, has been appointed to the Hispanic Contractors of Colorado (HCC) Board of Directors. Michelle will serve a three-year term starting in January, and her selection was determined by membership vote. With a vision to be Colorado’s diversity leader, HCC connects small, diverse contractors with public entities and large corporations, and provides education, training, and advocacy for its membership.
Since joining Swinerton in 2014, Michelle has been instrumental in increasing Swinerton’s outreach to small and minority-owned businesses. She brings 17 years of marketing experience to the HCC board position, with a history of focusing on public-sector work and small business community outreach.
“I am truly passionate about assisting small businesses,” she said. “When I joined Swinerton, I made it my goal for our company to become more actively involved with HCC. We have sponsored and attended the golf tournaments, the cake auction, the banquet, the annual barbeque, and have invited HCC subcontractors and small businesses to our Small Business Outreach hosted in our office. Now I get to contribute at a higher level to benefit the HCC, the small business community, and Swinerton’s outreach efforts.”
