The renovation of a 30-year-old building into a new regional headquarters for Avaya received an award of merit in the Interiors/Tenant Improvement category as part of the annual awards competition conducted by ENR Mountain States magazine.
Swinerton Builders Colorado’s Special Projects group completed the 120,000-square-foot renovation in late 2014 which consisted of a build-out of offices, collaboration areas and a data center, construction of dry labs, installation of CRAC units, and supporting equipment.
As Avaya relocated into a building built in 1984—ancient in terms of building technology and vacant for the last seven years—Swinerton overcame various challenges related to the building systems infrastructure to ensure Avaya moved into the most up-to-date environment possible for its research and development activities. The company is a leading global provider of real-time business collaboration and communications solutions.
