Swinerton Breaks Ground at Beale Air Force Base

Together with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and local community leaders, Swinerton Builders Government officially broke ground at the Distributed Common Ground Station Operations Facility at Beale Air Force Base. Following mobilization in February 2015, demolition of an existing shelter structure, modular offices, and satellite communications infrastructure set the stage for construction of the new 85,000-square-foot facility.

Located north of Sacramento, California, the new facility will be home to the U.S. Air Force’s 548th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group, whose mission is to collect, analyze, and disseminate real-time image and signals intelligence to military decision makers and field operations. The facility includes secure operations and administrative support space, in addition to a 12,000-square-foot data center to support mission operations.

The project is scheduled for a November 2016 completion.

Congratulations to the project team: Jeff Good, Trent Lattin, Jace Fogle, Andrew Bleichrodt, Jeff Fleckser, Dannielle Stoltenberg, Brad Hynes, and Scott Morland.
