Swinerton Celebrates National Small Business Week!Contributor: Swinerton Blogger | May 08, 2016
At Swinerton, we understand the numerous benefits gained via our commitment to establishing and maintaining meaningful business relationships with Small Business. Utilizing proactive and innovative methods, we cultivate and continually improve both our business relationships and the opportunities we pursue.
From May 1 to May 7, Swinerton’s Government team celebrated National Small Business Week (NSBW) throughout the community.
On May 4 the team attended the Colorado NSBW Luncheon Awards Ceremony at the History Colorado Center in Denver, Colorado, which recognized several Small Business. Guest speakers included Mayor Michael Hancock who presented the Region VIII Administrator Small Business Advocacy Award and Governor John Hickenlooper who presented the Colorado Small Business Wall of Fame Inductions. The Keynote address was provided by President Obama’s Cabinet member Maria Contreras-Sweet, Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administrator.
Swinerton recognizes that being the preferred builder and trusted partner in every market we serve must also apply to the communities in which we live and work. We are committed to promoting the participation of Small Business and historically underutilized business on our projects and operations procurement efforts because we believe diversity brings both expanded opportunities and greater strength to our business partner relationships.
Congratulations to all Colorado NSBW Luncheon Award recipients, and a heartfelt thank you to all our Small Business Partners.
