1400 Mission Street Cools Down the Neighborhood

As summer and construction heats up at 1400 Mission Street, the project team is cooling down the neighborhood by providing delicious gelato to our neighbors. First, the team surprised residents of the recently completed high-rise NEMA, located adjacent to the 1400 Mission Street site, with a Neighbor Appreciation Gelato Event.  In early June, the team hosted a second Neighbor Appreciation Gelato Event for the children, residents, and staff members of Mercy Housing located on the corner of 10th and Mission Streets across from the project site.

Mercy Housing is a national nonprofit affordable housing organization leading a movement to create stable, vibrant, and healthy communities for families, seniors, and people with special needs. Each project team member introduced themselves to the neighbors and provided an update on the construction activities and ongoing efforts to reduce impact to the surrounding community. Swinerton Builders always strives to be a good neighbor; the 1400 Mission Street project team was no exception with their innovative idea to show our heartfelt appreciation to the surrounding community.
