Farewell to 2013: A Memorable YearContributor: Swinerton Blogger | December 31, 2013
At Swinerton, 2013 was a very big year. On top of celebrating our 125th year in business, we’ve sharpened our market focus, transformed our technology, welcomed many new members to the Swinerton family, and honored the life-long contributions of some very special employee-owners. In this remarkable year, we’ve had the privilege of looking back to honor our history and understand our strengths to position ourselves for ongoing success. In reflection, it’s been quite a ride.
This year, we were honored by Engineering News-Record California as 2013’s Top Contractor of the Year, and several offices were distinguished for their individual merit in a number of award categories.
Another highlight of 2013 was when San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee proclaimed June 6, 2013, “Swinerton Day” in the city in recognition of our many decades of contribution to its development and character. Turning 125 was also an opportunity to tell the Swinerton story in a commerative book. On the eve of a new year, we invite you to take a tour through our history in “Swinerton: A Builder’s History.”
Wishing all of our employee-owners, partners, clients, and friends a very happy, healthy, and prosperous new year!
