Go Big or Go Home in Denver

This summer Swinerton, Broe Real Estate Group (an affiliate of The Broe Group) and SCB Architects broke ground on a residential apartment building project that will employ up to 1,000 construction workers and provide high-quality housing with innovative design in a supply-constrained market.

Country Club Towers II will offer 552 environmentally-friendly apartments and 1,005-structured parking spaces, which doubles zoning requirements. Each apartment will have floor-to-ceiling, energy-efficient bay windows; granite surfaces; stainless steel appliances;
and in-unit washers/dryers. Exorbitant amenities include: a lap pool with a 26,000-square-foot deck, fitness center, yoga rooms,
dog washing area, bike repair station, multiple outdoor patios, and an indoor common kitchen and clubhouse. Additionally, six existing apartments in the Country Club Gardens and Towers are being renovated as part of this project. The first units will be available to renters in mid-2017.

The groundbreaking ceremony featured Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, Councilman Chris Nevitt, several representatives from The Broe Group and Broe Real Estate Group, Swinerton Executive President Gary Rafferty, and Michael Gifford of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Colorado. The speakers praised the project and the job training that is to be provided by Swinerton and the AGC of Colorado.

Since groundbreaking, site development activities have made awe-inspiring progress. Thanks to the efforts of our subcontractor partners, excavation has hauled away 80,000 cubic yards of dirt; more than 36,000 square feet of soldier beam and lagging has been installed for the parking structure shoring; and more than 7,775 linear feet have been drilled for piers. To date, 200 craft workers have gone through Swinerton’s mandatory site-specific safety program orientation, which is expected to grow to approximately 1,000 workers who will build Country Club Towers II to the highest quality and energy-efficient standards.

Congratulations to the many team members who have dedicated countless hours to the preconstruction efforts and construction progress thus far!
