The Fall Season Means Fall Giving!Contributor: Swinerton Blogger | November 21, 2014
Fall, the time of year when the sun sets sooner, the leaves start to change color and drop from their trees, and the weather becomes much cooler. Fall is also the time of harvest, Thanksgiving, and the start of the holiday season. At Swinerton, fall brings more than seasonal changes it launches our annual Fall Giving Challenge.
Each year The Swinerton Foundation holds this companywide giving campaign, to bring additional support to local organizations throughout the communities in which we live and work. The Fall Giving Challenge is a friendly competition between each Swinerton office to see which location earns the most points based on collected monetary donations, goods, and volunteer hours. The top three offices with the most points earned receive additional charitable donations for their chosen non-profit organizations from The Swinerton Foundation, up to $7,000 for the top spot!
From holding canned good drives for local food banks and raising money through bake sales for women and children shelters, to heart walks for the American Heart Association and adopting “Angels” for the Salvation Army’s Tree Program, each office is hard at work collecting donations and funds for their organizations during this year’s Fall Giving Challenge.
Which office will be the most giving this season? Find out when we unveil the winners in next week’s “Swinerton Announces Fall Giving Challenge Winners!” blog. Stay tuned!
