Swinerton Renewable Energy Builds Solar Installation for Idaho Youth CampContributor: Swinerton Blogger | November 10, 2016
Ranked among the top five solar EPCs globally, Swinerton Renewable Energy strives to not only serve as a leader in the solar industry, but also within communities in which we build. This fall, many members of the SRE team have been working on several projects in Idaho, including 108 MWdc Grand View. Grand View is the eighth project SRE has built for our valued client, Clenera, and was completed on September 9, 2016.
On November 9, we completed construction on a second project in Idaho, a 100 KW solar energy system at the Idaho Youth Ranch in Treasure Valley. This project joined teams from Clenera, SRE, and NEXTracker with the community’s youth to provide education on the growing importance of renewable energy. Once online, the installation will generate clean, free energy to power the camp for years to come.
Each year the Cl?nera team chooses a nonprofit organization to support. When the Idaho Youth Ranch was selected, the SRE team readily accepted the opportunity to donate their time and skills to install the majority of a 300-panel solar array. Much of the work was completed in advance of November 9, a “community day” on which campers and members of the local community were invited to participate in the final stages of installation.
Thank you to Clenera for partnering with us to bring clean energy, on both a utility- and a local-scale, to the state of Idaho!
