Swinerton Gives the Gift of RenovationsContributor: Swinerton Blogger | November 15, 2016 | Image Gallery »
Swinerton Builders Texas joined forces with the Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA) again this year for their 25th Annual Christmas in October event. A longstanding tradition spanning more than two decades, each year RECA selects an organization to receive an early Christmas gift of renovations, rejuvenations, and repairs to their chosen facility. This year RECA chose to partner with Sammy’s House, a non-profit organization that provides services for children who are medically fragile or developmentally delayed.
To get the day rolling, Swinerton team members brought in breakfast tacos, donuts, and coffee for the more than 100 volunteers in attendance to enjoy. After breakfast, the Swinerton team spent the day repainting the offices in the front of the facility, along with open areas and a kitchen. They also replaced ceiling fans and installed whiteboards donated by Swinerton in the office areas. By the end of the day all of the indoor and outdoor spaces received a complete renovation.
Thanks to the efforts of all volunteers, along with a $5,000 contribution from The Swinerton Foundation—Swinerton’s non-profit arm—children are now able to enjoy a healthy new living environment to learn, play, and spend time with their friends and families.
Special thanks to all participants for your time and commitment to volunteerism.
