Course Offerings & Accreditation Programs
Swinerton’s course offerings include both instructor-led and independent online classes covering topics such as subcontractor management, safety, construction law, communication skills, computer proficiency, effective business writing, and time management.
The company also supports external training and accreditation on a variety of industry topics. Because of their particular importance, internal experts on the topics of green construction and safety offer in-house LEED AP, LEED GA, and Safety Trained Supervisor study sessions to prepare employees for their accreditation exams. Swinerton reimburses registration costs for employees who choose to become accredited.
Swinerton’s Better Builders program provides project engineers with the field experience and on-the-job training necessary to understand the broad range of construction techniques and succeed as builders. The comprehensive program covers 26 essential aspects of field construction, including shoring and excavation, foundations, structural steel, building envelope, site work, interiors and finishes, and MEP systems.
Swinerton’s LeaderBuilder series is an intensive leadership development program that helps managers assess their talents, improve their organizational and communication skills, and more effectively lead and motivate their teams.
