Swinerton Progresses on PG&E Jobs
Despite permit delays and unforeseen conditions, the Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) Distribution Control Center in Concord is now underway and progressing steadily. The new 37,000-square-foot, ground-up structure recently topped out its structural steel, and we have completed the welding of the metal deck and exterior and commenced interior framing. Concrete Services is performing all site and structural concrete work for the job. We have really enjoyed this opportunity to partner with them and look forward to working with them on future jobs.
Our sister project in Fresno for a new 24,250-square-foot Distribution Control Center is also underway and just topped out the structural steel and setting of the metal deck; metal stud framing will begin shortly. Our other sister project in Rocklin is just kicking off with design and preconstruction and should break ground in summer 2014.
