Colorado, CSU partner up to Help a Family
April 22 marked Swinerton's fifth straight year participating in Colorado State University’s CM Cares program, which pairs local builders with construction management students to improve the lives of community members through home improvements.
This year’s project helped the Salem family – a family of 11 which includes two amazing parents and nine terrific kids; six of whom have been adopted from different parts of the world. Exterior improvements to their home included a new deck with a slide, new siding, and landscape improvements. Interior improvements included installing wood base throughout the entire home, modifying two small bathrooms into one large bathroom with an ADA accessible shower, installation of a new interior barn door and repainting the majority of the common areas.
With the support of the Swinerton Foundation and donations from local subcontractors and suppliers, including ISEC, 16 people gave their time that day to improve the lives of a grateful family in need.
A huge thank you to those who donated their time and talent to this meaningful endeavor: Assistant Project Manager Connor Madigan; Project Manager Chad Holajter; Project Engineers Mark Norin, Justin Stewart, Adelicia Colmenero, and Tyler Hanna; Administrative Assistant Linda McGivern; Senior Project Manager John Spight; Operations Manager Jared Hoeflich; Senior Superintendent Kent Bryan; Assistant Superintendent Ben Kreye; and subcontractor ISEC.
