Annual Campout a Hit!
Over 150 Swinerton employees and their families (not counting the dozen or so four-legged furry friends) attended the Sacramento division’s second Annual Fallen Leaf Lake Campout this fall. The campgrounds quickly became a "tent city" as employees and their families worked together to set up their home away from home for the weekend.
On the first night, the gang enjoyed a delicious barbeque dinner served up by Swinerton Chefs Curtis Johnson, Tim Moffett, and several eager volunteers. Later that evening, everyone gathered around the fire pit for s'mores, the strumming of guitars and a vocal performance by Swinerton’s own Jesse Jones, Amber Stitt, and Diana Stitt.
Thanks to Swinerton’s Scott Grubb and his merry band of volunteers, day two started off with the 150 campers enjoying an amazing breakfast. The fun was amplified later that morning as the group headed over to the lake where Swinerton’s Shannon Fryer spurred up a little friendly competition during the canoe racing. Word has it that relay team #2 (you know who you are) was the winner by a landslide! The afternoon also included a volleyball tournament that gave bragging rights to Swineton’s Anthony Manchaca—star of the volleyball court.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for what was a wonderful opportunity to "unplug" and bond with our fellow employees and their families in the beautiful outdoors! This amazing event would not be possible without your efforts.
