Halloween & Thanksgiving Celebrations

On October 27, Swinerton’s Orange County office “gHosted” the Halloween SPOOK-tacular with fun, food, and friendship. There was an employee and child costume contest, while Swinerton’s little Hall-O-Weenies enjoyed trick-or-treating around the office and a Halloween movie. The Accounting Team won the group costume contest with their retro Flappers and Gangsters theme, while the Administration team finished second thanks to their witty Snapchat Filters theme. Mark Rafferty served up an ace and won the individual costume contest with his out-of-the-box Human Tennis Ball costume.

On October 31, Swinerton’s Los Angeles office held a Halloween Happy Hour event. The team hung out that afternoon in the office lounge, played skull-pong, and had a candy jar counting contest. Pizza, wings, and drinks were served—along with a lot of candy, of course. Five employees surprised everyone with their hilarious impersonation of the senior leadership team—with George Denise as Brian McCarthy, Mitch Ersek as Dave Callis, Hadi Joudi as Ray Haj, David Antemie as Jerry Mejia, and Red Gayita as Lia Tatevosian. Both offices hosted a catered luncheon to celebrate Thanksgiving. Employees brought desserts, while everyone feasted on the success Swinerton has been so thankful for during 2017.

Meanwhile up north, Swinerton’s Concord office’s annual Halloween Potluck proved to be another tasty success. On Halloween day, each team member contributed to the party by bringing in their signature dishes—and came dressed for the occasion. From signature Filipino, Italian, and African dishes, to staple must-haves like chips and dip and homemade cornbread and chili, the team chowed down on a spread of all cultures. Keeping the momentum going in mid-November, the team held their first annual Friendsgiving. Catered by Concord’s popular Chef Michael, team members lined up in the kitchen to grab a personal Friendsgiving lunch box filled with juicy turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, a fresh baked roll, and cranberry sauce.
