Technology To Its Best Advantage

Swinerton has the right blend of experience and cutting-edge technology to meet today’s increasingly complex projects. We’ve developed proprietary accounting software that lets us track project costs in real time, and our cost management system keeps all project participants fully and continually informed. We use communication technologies that give our teams and our clients instant, real-time electronic access to schedules, meeting notes, request-for-information logs, change estimates, submittals, and CAD files. We currently plan and manage projects with 4D CAD technology. By incorporating time as the fourth dimension, this technology automatically synchronizes schedules and gives all project participants access to them.

We also use technology to preserve resources and save costs. For instance, we work with many of our clients to identify Green building techniques that create more healthful and cost-effective live and work spaces such as Smart Buildings with Direct Digital Control (DDC) technology for automated HVAC and lighting systems.

Scheduling Results

Scheduling is at the root of cost-effectiveness, and our in-house scheduling experts use Primavera SureTrak software to assure that every project we undertake has fully-programmed schedules representing all parties on the job and all interfacing activities. To ensure that work is progressing as planned, our project managers and superintendents, along with a dedicated group of scheduling experts, oversee the master schedule and budget. These professionals and our project controls guarantee that bids are awarded to the most reliable and highest-quality vendors and subcontractors, costs are controlled and work flow is managed and maintained.
