Santa Fe, New Mexico
The Santa Fe Civic Center is a two-story, 72,000-square-foot facility that includes meeting rooms, offices and a 22,000-square-foot ballroom. The project consists of high-end architectual finishes in the Santa Fe style of Pueblo Architecture. The Center recently achieved LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
One of many green features of this project are water conservation measures that have been implemented. Irrigation needs are met through a rainwater harvesting system; with rainwater roof drainage captured by underground cisterns and then pumped to landscaped areas. Low-flow, dual-flush toilets are used in all restrooms. Salvaged bricks, recycled concrete and reclaimed wood were some of materials used.
