Rancho Palos Verdes
Renovation of an existing three-story, 50,000-square-foot, concrete structure that housed families of the Army Cadets. Project comprised 36 units that included seven 3-bed units, 27 2-bed units and two 1-bed units. Project scope included complete interior demolition, ADA upgrade, new MEP systems, new finishes, reglazing and reroofing. The project was done in two phases - Phase I comprised the East wing of the building and Phase II comprised the West wing. Phase II was occupied during construction of Phase I and the construction process required ensuring occupant safety. A boiler room was built adjacent to the building with mechanical systems of sufficient capacity to meet the needs of not only the renovated building but also the planned future addition to this building.
