The Aloft is a new lifestyle category hotel within the Starwood brand and is located at Park North in San Antonio. The hotel caters to the business traveler with 69,158 square feet, five stories, and 141 guestrooms. The project is located on 1.24 acres, where the GPM buildings were previously located and were also built by Lyda in the late-1960's. The site was demolished shortly before starting construction of the Aloft. The hotel was built using load-bearing CMU block and hollow-core concrete planks. The exterior of the building is combination of aluminum composite panels, solid Phenolic panels, and EFIS.
