CNET
CNET's new headquarters encompasses seven different floors with a 50-car parking garage in the basement, for a total of 275,000 square feet. The space includes a data and server room on the 2nd and 3rd floors. These feed out to IDF closets on each floor, which in turn feed out to individual offices and workstations. Both rooms have critical HVAC and electrical systems that incorporate redundancy and are backed-up by a 500 KW stand-by generator. They also include a FM-200 fire sprinkler system.
The tenant improvement portion of the project included the build out of all restroom facilities in the building, along with all security, audio/visual and data/telecom features. Main stairs connect the main lobby to the 5th floor, which penetrates the center of the building. The concept behind the space is an open office area, which backs up to "team rooms," located between work groups that can be utilized as conference rooms.
All of the private offices utilize Arcadia sliding glass doors. The 6th floor features a four-studio radio station as well as a TV/webcast studio and accompanying production facilities.
