Swinerton's critical facilities team provided turn-key construction services for the new Impac Data Center in Irvine, California. Mission critical facilities architecture included the primary data center, network equipment room and main distribution frame.
This Data Center is equipped with an extreme high density close coupled cooling system. Three 80 Ton dry fluid coolers with expansion tank were installed on the roof. A total of 17 CRAC units were strategically placed throughout the facility for efficiency. Cook exhaust fans were used for heat removal. Installation included Main Electrical Switch gear, ATS, 1.5 MW diesel standby generator, 3- 200 kW UPS, 2– 50 kva PDU’s, Pre-Action Dry pipe system, FM 200 Fire Suppression and 24" raised floor.
