In 2001 and 2003 the voters of Los Angeles passed $3 billion in bonds to fund long needed repairs and improvements to the nine campuses, which make up the Los Angeles Community College District. One of the largest campuses is Pierce College.
Founded in 1947, Pierce College is located in the San Fernando Valley on over 400 acres of fertile land. Like all of the community colleges, Pierce College is a two-year school and offers an Associated Arts Degree in over 100 vocational programs.
Swinerton's scope of work includes the management of over $292 million of bond program funded improvements. The program consists of over 40 individual projects including a new 600 car parking lot, a technology center, science building, cafeteria, student services building, conference facility along with renovations to almost every existing building on campus.
Our scope of services also includes comprehensive preconstruction services on all projects including estimating, value engineering, constructability review and management of the entire bid process.
