Swinerton was the Construction Manager for this $20-million project, managing a general contractor. This project is seeking LEED-NC Certification.
The Hourglass Park Fieldhouse is a 64,000-square-foot, joint-use complex shared with the City of San Diego and will provide a 28,000-square-foot gymnasium, physical therapy room dually designed for instruction, fitness center, children's gymnastics room, arts and crafts room, classrooms, dance/aerobics classrooms, lecture rooms, offices, laundry facilities, a multipurpose area with attached kitchen. Framed by large opening barn-style doors, the College's dance/aerobics room spills activity onto an outdoor amphitheater that doubles as a flexible gathering space.
