In January 2005, Swinerton Management & Consulting formed the Infrastructure & Transportation Group. Based in Concord, California, the new division provides project and program management services to public works and public agency clients.

SMC ITG provides construction engineering support to design-build contractors, along with projects in transportation, redevelopment, water/wastewater and other public projects.
