The Murrieta Vons project is a fixed, roof-mounted solar energy field that successfully secured a permission to operate letter from Southern California Edison by December 31, 2008.
The project consists of 1,024 Sanyo 190/195 panels for a total
system output of 198,860 kW. Additionally, the system included
the use of the SunLink racking system, and a Satcon 225kW
Inverter.
The system is highlighted by the use of an Energy ReCommerce data monitoring system to collect string level monitoring to ensure the peak performance all 145 strings and current weather conditions. The project was delivered in less than three months, and was successfully transferred to ownership, Solar Power Partners, a power purchase agreement finance partner.
Swinerton’s project management oversight of the engineering, procurement, prefabrication, construction, and profit/loss responsibility enabled the project to be delivered without any disruption of normal operations of the grocery store.
