Swinerton Selected for Three New Projects!

Continuing to serve a wide variety of clients, Swinerton has recently been awarded a new high school, a design-build parking structure, and an urban renewal project.

East Quad Campus High School, Denver
Denver Public Schools has hired Swinerton to provide design-build services for a new high school located on undeveloped land west of DIA. The new high school will serve 500 students to start and will include a gymnasium, administrative space, kitchen, commons area, performance space, library, and classrooms. We will also develop a master plan that will enable DPS to build additional capacity on the campus for future demands. Architect partner Eidos has started design for this incredibly fast-tracked project; construction is anticipated to start this fall, and complete summer 2015.

Denver International Airport Mod 4 East Parking Structure, Denver
Swinerton was recently awarded a design-build contract for a new parking structure located on the southeast side of the terminal. This four-story, cast-in-place parking structure will expand DIA’s parking capacity by 1800 spaces. Design and preconstruction are underway, with construction scheduled to start in January 2015 with final completion by March 2016.

Ralston Creek North, Arvada
It's not often we get to build in our backyard, but the Colorado division gets to do just that as part of the team selected by the Arvada Urban Renewal Authority and the City of Arvada to redevelop a former 14-acre shopping district. The urban renewal project–dubbed Ralston Creek North–is being overseen by master developer Buckingham Companies of Indianapolis. Swinerton’s contributions to the new mixed-use urban neighborhood will include preconstruction services and construction of apartment buildings and retail space. Additional work includes renovation of a Safeway into a 24 Hour Fitness and creation of streets, walkways, plazas, and open spaces. RNL Design is providing sustainable design. Construction is anticipated to begin in late 2015.
