Breaking Ground on CyrusOne’s New Texas Data Center

Swinerton Builders and CyrusOne—one of the premier colocation providers in the nation—broke ground last week on Phase 1 of a new, 40 MW colocation data center in San Antonio, Texas.

The project marks CyrusOne’s second data center in San Antonio and tenth in Texas. Once completed the new site is expected to have more than 200,000 square feet of data center and superior Class A office space. Swinerton Builders will complete the first phase of the multimillion dollar project this year.

“We are extremely pleased to partner with CyrusOne as they expand their presence in Texas. Continued growth and economic drivers in San Antonio and the entire state of Texas have created a strong demand for colocation data centers,” said Swinerton’s Scott Tomhave, who oversees the Texas operations. “Swinerton Builders has many years of experience building data centers and other critical facilities centers for both retail colocation and enterprise clients.  We look forward to showcasing our unique capabilities.”
