Delta Sky Club at SFO Achieves LEED Gold Certification!

Located in Terminal 1 Boarding Area C at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), Swinerton’s Delta Airlines Sky Club tenant improvement project recently achieved LEED® Gold Certification!

The project involved renovations to 10,000 square feet of space (primarily on the third floor Mezzanine Level and a small area on the second-floor Concourse Level) of an existing club that had been relocated from pre- to post-TSA screening at SFO. Through floor-to-ceiling glass curtain walls, guests are now treated to expansive views of the San Francisco Bay, both runways, and a 35-foot custom bar located at the heart of the club. The new club also features top-of-the-line quartz slab wainscot countertops; custom back-lit living glass, restroom trough sinks, and a vertical bamboo door to secure bar inventory; back bar lighted panels; and stainless steel/cable stair railings.

Despite facing typical challenges when performing work in a bustling airport, the project team was able to deliver a first class-space that is generating five-star feedback and quickly becoming known as the best thing to happen to air travel!

Before your next flight out of SFO be sure to stop by the Sky Club for a refreshing drink or swing by the Union Street Gastro Pub—the only full-service restaurant in the Terminal 3 Concourse area (also recently completed by the Swinerton project team).
