Historic Northwest Project Yakama Nation

Swinerton Builders Northwest has started construction on the largest job in their history! The  Legends Casino Expansion project is comprised of a 90,000-square-foot casino expansion; six-story, 200-room hotel; 65,000-square-foot back of house addition; and remodel of the existing casino, event center, and tribal gaming authority. Swinerton will complete a total of seven phases of work over the next two years on the project located in Toppenish, Washington.

To date, the first elevation of columns and shear walls have been installed for the hotel along with work on the casino expansion, which will triple the size of the existing gaming floor, adding a new buffet and kitchen. The tilt-wall structure will tie into the existing casino at one end, and the hotel at the other. When the casino expansion is complete, it will open for gaming operations and the remodel of the existing casino will start. In the future, the two gaming floors will be combined.

Swinerton has developed a very good relationship with the Yakama Tribe. At a recent event, two Swinerton team members were recognized for their dedication to the project and received certificates from the Legends Casino Board of Directors. The team is excited to be involved with this project and looks forward to working with the Yakama Tribe to see their vision for the future come to fruition.
